Children’s Halloween Parade Scheduled for Oct. 28

Westport’s children’s Halloween Parade will be held on Main Street on Wednesday, Oct. 28, the Parks and Recreation Department has announced.

The parade, scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m., is sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department, the Westport Downtown Merchants Association and the Westport P.A.L.

Children and parents are to meet in front of the Westport/Weston Family Y on the corner of Main Street and Post Road East at 3 p.m. 

The parade route goes up Main Street, along Avery Place and then on to Veterans Green (across from Town Hall).  Entertainment, refreshments and a small gift will be provided at 3:45 p.m.  The event is for children age 7 and under.

Please note that there will be no parking on Main Street between 2 – 4 p.m. while the parade is taking place.

Halloween Hoot – Norwalk October 30, 2009

Fun celebration includes safe trick-or-treating throughout the Aquarium and an always-amazing costume contest. Free admission offer is good for all ages, not just kids, as long as you are in a costume. Halloween Maze – Norwalk  Now through October 31, 2009

Enjoy Halloween jokes, fun facts, riddles and a seek-and-find as you travel through the 1,400 square foot outdoor maze.  Location: Stepping Stones Museum for Children, Mathew’s Park, 303 West Avenue. Annual Ragamuffin Part & Parade – October 31 The Weston Women’s League’s Annual Ragamuffin Party & Parade will be Halloween Night, Oct 31^st from 4:30pm – 6:00pm. It will begin at the Hurlbutt Elementary School’s South House Field and march to the Fire House.
